My daughter has been here for more than a week now but I'm just now sharing my labor story. So I headed to the hospital to be induced at 9am. The doctor put the medicine on my cervix to progress dilation at about 10am. I was only 1cm dilated at that time. I relaxed for awhile and then the cramps started to come. I decided to get into the bath. The cramps started off similar to my period cramps and just got worse. At around 2:30 or 3pm I had to get out the bath so the nurse could monitor the baby and the doctor checked me and I was 5cm dilated. At this time, cramps were killing me. They gave me some medicine through my Iv but it did not help, just made me drowsy. At around 3:20 I was calling for the epidural but my midwife didn't let me get one since I already said previously that I didn't want one. But it was too late anyways. The nurse checked me at 3:25pm and I was we 10cm dilated and I started to feel like pushing. The doctor came and I delivered my baby in about 5 minutes with only 3 pushes. The first push was pure fire. The second push, her head came out and her shoulders came out with the third push. All together, labor and delivery was about 5 hours long. They didn't need to give me pitocin. Honestly, I would do it again because I feel so blessed to have my princess in my life.
isn't it funny how we watch the clock indefinitely while in labor Lol. Congratulations 👣

Labor story...Came in at 7 am on 6/24 to be induced. Was already dilated to a 4 and 70% effaced. Got started on fluids and pitocin around 830 but no pain really. Water was broke at around 9 and received epi around 930. Nurse checked me at about 11 and I was a 6. Doctor came in at about 1245 and I was completely dilated. Pushed for at least 40 minutes and baby was born at 136pm. 8lbs 12 oz. We are in love💙

Checked in at 4am february 1st.. started my pitocin drip at 5. I was 3cm dilated when i checked in. Things were progressing pretty slowly until my doctor broke my water at 7 am. I got my epidural done when i was 7 cm dilated, my nurse came in to check me and said baby was in plus 1 station. From there it went rather quickly, once my cervix was complete, she did practice pushes with me, i did 3 practice pushes with a few contractions and she said not to practice push anymore because baby was crow...

Got to the hospital at 4 am to start my pitocin, well.. I was put on the drip at 430 am , and was 4cm dilated and 80 percent effaced, an hour later. The nurse came in to check me, hours later, and I was at 6 cm. I got the epidural at 6cm.. But it didn't work for me, no more than 20 minutes later, I couldn't take the pain, I was screaming and crying.. And felt everything.. most terrible pain ever, I called for my nurse to come in and she checked me again, said I was ready to deliver, babys head ...

Ladies I would like to introduce my babygirl. Came to the hospital and was having full blown contractions and doctor decided to operate me. My delivery was so painful I felt everything.

When did you ladies start getting checked to see if your dilating? I am 36 weeks 4 days and not once have any of my doctors checked to see if I am or not.. Only been checked to see if my son is head down, and he is.. Last week I went and the doctor said that she didn't wanna check to see if I was dilating cause she didn't wanna "mess with my cervix" 😕 or "get things started" those were her words... FTM
congratulations
