So im 32w5d and my doc tells me that due to est birth weight he wants me to seriously consider being induced at 38 weeks. She is my first and my doc is worried about it ending in a c-section. My s/o wants me to just go naturally into labor. I feel like he doesnt understand the risks of mine and our childs life if something bad happened. My doc is the chief of Obgyn and has been a doc at Kaiser since 1990. I trust him completely. What should i do or how are better ways to explain to the s/o how serious this is b/c right now when i look at him im discusted that he could even go against the doc advice and ask me to risk something like that???? Please give me advice ladys.
Thank you.

it all boils down to do you trust your doctor? If you agree with his decision and explanation then you make the decision. Yes it's his baby to but it the risk is higher for you and or the baby that's something your not willing to chance and he needs to accept that.

@baby1004, my doc explained all that when he told us he wanted me to consider being induced early. He has a child already that was born the day after my due date and i think he wants them botn close together, but at what cost! Like im literally to the point i made the appt for induction at the hospital and havent told him, i will wait to get all hooked up and meds started then call him and tell him were im at. I dont want it to be like that but i dont know any other way bc i wont in danger my childs life for his ignorance.

ok, cuz I was gonna say the same thing as @baby1004 let the doctor explain why and ultimately he has no say, it's your body and if your doc thinks that it's the best thing for you and the baby he needs to realize that.

I would have the dr explain him to him all the risk you would be taking if you do go into labor naturally. I had to get a c-section due to my son being so big my first pregnancy. I was so scared and didn't want to. My dr told me I could rip all the way from one whole yo the next, or the baby could get stuck and they would have to dislocate his shoulders to get him out, or he could go into stress and the would have to do an emergency c-section anyways. I wouldn't risk it. If you trust your Drs opinion then I say it's your body, your baby, and your life at risk
