Advice pleaseee I'm a first time mommy, my son is 5 days old, and I cannot get him to sleep at night for the life of me unless I hold him or lay him on my chest. Could he be attached already? any suggestions on how I can help get him to sleep at night.

He's going to be up during the night he needs fed every couple hours even throughout the night
I think what helped my son the most was letting him fall asleep on me, and keeping him there for quite a bit of time and then slowly moving him to his bed. Now he can't sleep without me! Go figure!

Took my kiddo to the doctor and his doctor recommended I get him Melatonin
So I did
I started with 1mg and it did nothing
So I got him 3mg still nothing
Got him 5mg nothing
So today I bought him 10mg
I hope it works
This kid can go the whole night without sleeping and no naps throughout the day

Every time someone posts about their 6 week old sleeping through the night, I want to punch a wall. My 14 month old has slept through the night probably 5 times in his life. I'm fcking tired. Alright I need tricks on how to get my baby to sleep faster at night he will sleep through the night once we get him to sleep but it's been taking 3 hours to get him to sleep when he's rarely slept through the day :/ someone help!
@camdensmamma, @neni0424 He does eat every 2 hours throughout the night. but he will only sleep for 20-30 mins at a time unless I hold him. As soon as I lay him in his bassinet he screams until I pick him up.
