that's kind of how we are. I think he wants a marriage but we're so young. I feel like its pointless but I do wanna feel like I'm important to him.

My SO and I have been together 3 years. We don't plan to get married though. We both view marriage as a pointless thing but we do plan to stay with each other forever

have you guys ever sat down and talked about it? and I agree not saying that a ring defines the relationship but it just a symbol of how much you mean to him and if he can't give you that then what's the point

I mean not even a promise ring, makes me wonder am I even worth it? what's the point of the relationship? I don't necessarily want to get married. but he would be hard to say no to. we're about to get our 2nd place together. that's all I get ? a home...feels temporary.

I feel the same way but we haven't been together for 5 years though but we have a child together and been together for almost 2 years but is that too soon to be thinking about marriage?
