Might as well start a controversial topic. Any moms out there that are having boys, what are your plans when it comes to circumcision? We will not be having our son done.
Yup. If our son wants his done later in life, he can do so. @shananaginsx
@jennerfay, we make all their other decisions for them right?
Like I said, parents make decisions for their children how they choose @shananaginsx
Yeah. when I say man I mean it as 80/20. just because what do I know about penis? same with educating how to properly wipe our daughter. because he doesn't have to follow front to back rules like women do. he doesn't know how to clean it all up. I'll be showing him lol
@jennerfay, chances are more than likely less. I can take care of him when a baby but like I said as he gets older I can't control it and don't want it to become an issue. And in the end it is his fathers choice who very quickly made the choice to get it done. See it's hard for us women cause we don't have a penis. We can research all we want but we don't know.
I can understand it being the mans decision, but even then, there has yet to be a decision made about our boy that wasn't made together @ashsmith91
if we were having a boy. nope. DF isn't circ. and his first born was a boy and his at the time girlfriend just got him circ without even asking. and that's bullshit. I've always believed it's the man's decision because he will be the one showing me how to clean it as I only have a girl lol
@shananaginsx, who's to say he won't get an infection from the procedure? I've seen my share of babies with botched circs....
We are getting our son circumcised. For a few reasons. One is cleanliness. Yes I can teach him to do it properly but don't want him to suffer infection or something
@mommywishes, they aren't cleaned any differently than a circumcised boy until the skin retracts, which doesn't happen until he's old enough to be taught how to do it himself. And I don't hate your reasoning, I just hate when people don't fully research something like this before they just do it.
I had a son and hes almost 2 and we didnt get him circumsiced. Just our personal choice. I respect everybodys opinion on that but for us its a no go
if i have a son..he will be getting circumcised. 1. all my brothers and nephews are circumcised (df is too)
2. im the one who has to clean him and ive never cleaned an uncircumcised one before.
3. i know you said you hate this reason but it is unsightly to me. he would more than likely never even be here if his dad wasnt circumcised. tbh.
I just felt like it wasn't something that was my place to make a decision on. I don't know what it's like to even have a penis let alone circumcised or uncircumcised. @mercyoftea
@stephnagy2, that's how we decided that my son is getting one.
My son is getting circumcised. My opinion on the matter is to each their own. I won't judge any mommies for not getting one but I don't want anyone putting me down on something that's my decision for him.
@jennerfay, I'm talking about those who are unable to care for themselves. Elderly neglect has unfortunately become all too common & in my experience I have definitely seen more infection in those who were not circumcised compared to those who were. it's a personal choice & I feel like anything else as long as you're not abusing/neglecting your child as mothers we do what we feel is best for our own.
@mrssanderson, I've done work in that field as well, but I believe as long as you're taught how to take care of your body, that can be avoided. It can be just as unclean either way.
I'm having my son circumcised... As someone who has worked as a PSW, I have seen first hand the difference in terms of cleanliness when it comes to the elderly. That being said, I'm not one to press my thoughts or opinions on others who choose not to. Each to their own, but I definitely don't agree that it's in comparison to torture... lol ^
@stephnagy2, you are absolutely right, and I do not judge or think differently of people who do have it done. But I like to hear people's reasoning as to why. My only problem is with he people who do it because "it's the common thing to do"
I'm having my son circumcised. I left this decision up to my fiancé since I don't have a penis. he's just as much the parent as I am And he says to do it so we are and I'm 100% okay with it.. everyone is different.
I don't have a son, and for some reason people think because I don't that I can't have an opinion. I lost 2 sons, but if they wouldve lived, the procedure wouldn't have even been discussed, because I have common sense lol. this time I'm having a girl, so I don't have to worry about it. but one day, when I have a son, it won't be happening.
it is completely unnecessary to have done. it's right up there with torture in my opinion. I feel pretty strongly against it.
Exactly. My nephews are not and I was worried about what rob would say, but once I explained that there really isn't a medical need for it and showed him videos on the procedure, he jumped on the intact board real quick @ashalay88
My son is intact. I discussed pros and cons with my husband and deemed it completely unnecessary. I tend to side eye people who do it because "it looks ugly". But, not my child, not my choice.
We have a racist on the APP ‼️
School fees
Having an intense debate on Facebook about school fees for public school. I'm in the "stop whining about school fees and stop having kids if you can't afford them" camp and there is the other camp of "free school is a constitutional right! It's bull s*** we have to pay anything at all".
We all have a different definition of “clean”🤢
