i do not think it's justifiable for a child to get beat with an extension cord for any reason. that's pure child abuse & any person capable of that shouldn't have kids, idc how bad your child is . Use a belt (maybe) but beating a child does not make the situation better.

Agreed. We got spanked growing up but we only got hit on the butt and never with objects like that & that's the same way I'll handle my daughter when she's older . That's insane

my point exactly, my MIL thinks she was in the right to beat my fiance with an extension cord when he was younger bc he was a bad kid & now she calls all of her kids bitches & I just sit back & shake my head... my mother is older than her and not once ever did she do those things to us, her hand was good enough or just yelling at us. I can't have my child around that , it scares me @elenasmommy

I used to pick my own switches. It was always on the butt tho and my stepfather never spanked me with his hand because he was scared he'd hurt me. I turned out fine.
