I've had three ultrasounds and never had to do that.

I have had 4 ultrasounds and never had to do that either

My doctor advised me to drink 32 oz of water before my ultrasounds. The fuller the bladder the more clear the ultrasounds are of the baby.

@almiita, Definitely not fun, especially when you have to hold your bladder while sitting in the waiting room doing the potty dance!

I understand the fuller the bladder the better they can see but 32oz is a lot I think I drank maybe 3 bottles of water and she was able to see everything but it will go fast she looked around got sizes and measurements then let me pee good luck

My mom said when she was pregnant with my brother she had to have a full bladder and to get the baby to move she'd have to pee a little bit then try again pee a little bit and try again. That sounded like torture to me! So glad my ob doesn't make me do that!
