Go to your ob and get the shot that's safe for you and I'm sure you will be fine but you may get a cold afterwards. Don't worry drink as much oj daily as you can. You will be fine :) @brittanynicole1116

Just to be clear, the flu shot doesn't completely prevent you from getting the flu. It only helps increases the chances of not getting it. I received my first flu shot ever while pregnant with my second son and a week later, I was in the ER with the flu. I'm not saying not to get it. I was told that even though I got the flu shot, I still got the flu because the virus was already in my body. I would speak to your ob, let them know your concerns. Stay hydrated and keep eating. Now that you have insurance, they can immediately prescribe you medicine if/when you start showing signs of the flu.

Yeah every time I've gotten the shot I've gotten really sick, it's just hard because I really cannot afford to miss work. I seem to get sick every month if not twice a month. @boogersbugsanddirt
