went to my 12 wk sono today and received some heartbreaking news. my baby has a lot of swelling around its head and neck. I did some bw to check for any abnormalities, but Dr said 80% chance,I will have to abort the baby 😭😭😭😭 I asked if I an still carry and if it will survive, he said usually in these cases the baby doesn't Make it to term

miracles can definitely occur. get a second opinion and wait it out. if a miscarriage happens, I'm sorry, but this early the mistakes can correct themselves! they could be one that defeats the odds!

Sorry doesn't come close to a sense of relief. Just like the other moms said get a second opinion their maybe better new. Have faith I'm praying all ends well honey.

this has happened to me with my last two pregnancies. I can definitely say my heart breaks for you and to just keep your head up. I'm not saying its going to work out the same as it did for me because miracles definitely do happen. keep a level head and definitely ask all the questions you need to and don't be afraid to take your time with decisions. @cupcakesandbows hope everything turns out well message me if you need to

yes I had two babies one with a 19 mm cystic hygroma (fluid behind the neck) along with a bunch of other problems and the next one a 7mm cystic hygroma

was it just the neck? cause the Dr said it was the neck and the head. if the baby has let's say the same of your diagnosis, is there any positive outcome?

it was mostly the neck my first one had a lot of fluid everywhere along with many other issues. I got my blood testing done and saw a specialist both of my babies had genetic issues and their chances of living outside the womb were slim to none and that was even if I made it to term. this is just my case I have done so much research and there are definitely cases that resolve themselves/false positives on tests. I would definitely get a second or even third opinion and only do what u feel is right because in the end its only your decision what you do and what you want your child to go through. I can only speak from my experiences and definitely don't want to freak you out because no case is the same @cupcakesandbows
