Alright moms..and well, parents: I'm making a baby registry and adding to it here and there when I think of things...are there certain things you wish you had thought of to buy before the baby arrived/shortly after that would've been helpful/important? There is so much..stuff..involved when it comes to a newborn, so I'm trying to weed out the 'cool but unnecessary' until later and focus on what is really important. Suggestions are welcomed

the main thing I actually needed with my 1st were t-shirts, socks, hats and mittens for the 1st month from what I could remember...of course diapers and wipes...she was a spring baby so is kinda hot.

awesome, I'll keep that in mind! it gets so overwhelming looking at all the stuff for a baby sometimes!

Onesie extenders from etsy- you can use the clothes longer with them. :-) you also need good muslin swaddles blankets. Helps baby sleep better and you can use for other things.

I wish I had put a 1 second ear thermometer on my registry. I just got one and I wish I had had it all along!

Honestly the major things you are going to need are car seat/stroller, a playpen or what u can use for the baby to sleep while they are still small, a swing, bottles, clothes, wipes and diapers!!!!! Everything else you will find out is just unnecessary. I'm a 2nd time mom and this time around I swear my registry only has 11 items I really need lol

Okay awesome thanks @vivalakats I'm trying to keep it pretty simple with just the bare necessities and 1 or 2 things that I personally find helpful additionally. there are tons of things out there I just want to weed out all the extras!
