Had quite a difficult delivery 😵😵 My waters broke(6/7am) and I went to the hospital around lunch time and because my contrations were so far apart I got sent home. My contractions continued to get stronger and I was still gushing water every now and again. I made my way to the hospital around 11/12 at night and I was then put on a monitor for 40 mins or so :) The midwife then checked how dilated I was :) I was only 1cm! 😬😬 Think she gave me a sweep because soon after my contractions were more painful! I was in constant pain even between contractions!! I felt like something wasn't right...I kept calling the midwife etc and she said you are only 1cm dilated...you aren't in labour yet! 😬😬 This went on for an hour...eventually they checked my cervix again and I was 8cm's dilated! 😨😨😨 I was rushed off to a delivery room! Couldn't go into the birth centre because of staff! I was on gas and air for awhile! When I was ready to push...I was pushing for an hour! It was around 11 at this point. I kept having a doctor checking on me! Her head wasn't coming down! He said her head was in an awkward position 😯😯😐 He said I would need to go into theatre and have help with forceps! And if that didn't work a csection!! So I went into theatre, got given a spinal block! Was quite a relief not to feel pain for the first time in about 27 hours! The doctor then repositioned her head and told me to push etc...the midwife had to feel for my contractions :) my OH was sat behind me in scrubs! My bubba was delivered in about 5 pushes! And put on my stomach...I got to touch her for a few seconds and she was rushed off for cleaning!! My health drastically changed! Even though I felt fine! My temp dropped and so did my heart rate! I had to have 4 pints of blood, IV drip and antibiotics... Think I was in theatre for 3 hours! Meanwhile my OH was sat next to me with our little girl 💖💖💖 XxxX There's still a lot more to say!
