Hey everyone! My son is 8 weeks old. I recently switched his formula 3 days ago to similac alimentum from gerber good start so I can get wic. Apparently they are similar. Only similac is qualified for wic here... Now my son is not sleeping like he usually does. Do you think it is because of the switch in formula?? Thanks!

yes but with the new formula 4-5 oz might not be enough, maybe he needs just an extra oz to fill him up. We switched from regular formula to sensitive and on regular he was drinking 2-3 oz, now that we switched to sensitive he needs 4-5 oz be for he is full

He drinks 4-5 oz and he's 8 weeks it's no more than he was having before. @xoxo512070

I would think if hes waking up that frequent it may not be filling him up, sometimes when you switch its just not as filling so they might beed more

My little one was change so many time from his own dr they mess up he's tummy. It better if you stay with the same formula if you have to buy it then do it . I know Similac is better

Well I might give it a couple more days and see. I miss the 4-5 hours he would sleep at a time now it's back to 2-3. Haha!

I'd call your pediatrician and ask them. I had to switch my daughter from one soy to another and had the same problem but i don't remember what they told me....it was almost 4 years ago 😅

it could be, his body may need a lil bit of time to adjust to the new and get rid of what's old. I had a similar problem with one of my boys and in fact I'm going thru it again 😕 cuz I had to switch him to an organic one cuz every other one was breaking his skin out so they are just adjusting I'd give it some time

So my daughter was on Similac Advanced.. But was switched to Sensitive.. Well its been over 2 weeks and they sent over something to WIC to have it changed on my checks. I haven't gone to WIC yet.. But now I think this formula is making her constipated.. She hasn't been popping much. And when she does she has a really hard time. Question is... Can it be the formula causing the constipation??

We can’t even afford to buy my baby his formula right now 😭😭 thankfully he has enough until my boyfriend gets paid but I just feel terrible we can’t provide enough for my son. I really need to get on WIC. I don’t really know much about it or how to get started but someone told me if my son has Medicaid (which he does) that we could get automatically accepted, is that true? What does WIC even include? I know it includes formula but I’m not sure what else
