Sorry just saw the refuse to give steroid part after I posted. 😛 Even if you do have to deliver at 35 weeks chances are still really good you wouldn't need nicu and a little nicu would be better then chance things by staying pregnant if doctors think baby needs out.

@csp0355, they've tried all of the steroid shots on me I have asthma real bad and my immune system sucks I'm not willing to go through that I'd rather be here to meet my daughter they can find another way bc the shot isnt an option

You could always ask them to double check the ingredients in the shot to make sure it has whatever you're allergic to. My doctor told me they can give them as early as 23 weeks and you can have 2 doses(2 shots per dose) throughout the pregnancy.

yea, I'm sure they will find some type of accommodation bit then again I think later in your pregnancy will get alot better and you may carry til term (38-40) hot never know

I had my first at 36 weeks and hag all kinds of complications throught out the pregnancy and on top of that she was small for 36 weeks because I have a growth restriction( hadn't effected this baby) but I wad given steroids

Oh that sucks. Hopefully they can wait until 36 or 37 weeks. I've had a 34 weeker with shots who needed no help breathing but a 35 weeker without the shot who needed a lot of help breathing. Most people I know who have delivered at 36 weeks without shots haven't had any issues.

then they need to leave her alone bc I'm allergic to them every time I've had one my airway has almost closed@ehamp86 I'm going to tell them to leave her put until 37 weeks

I'm high risk, they don't want to risk something happening I don't think. @csp0355 but if they don't get her at 35 they will at 37

That's crazy if you haven't had any issues. I would insist on waiting until full term.

I wouldn't think it's normal but with certain medical issues it could be necessary. I'm high risk and have a chronic abruption so they are planning to induce between 35 and 37 weeks depending on how he looks and if/how much I'm bleeding.
