So I went on birth control for the first time about a month ago , maybe a month and a half . I knowwwww I've gained weight since going on it . I haven't taken my weight yet , but girls know when they're gaining weight lol , my belly is getting chubby . I'm on the Depo shot , btw . So , my question is , for anyone that's gained weight while on birth control ; does it eventually stop ? Or do you just keep gaining weight ? I can live with gaining a few pounds and that's it , but if it just keepsss onnn goinggg I'm gonna have to get off of birth control :/

it does not stop on Depo. i stopped birth control all together because my weight was out of control. i tried Depo and the patch. no more. hubby gonna have to step his oull out game up after this baby. Lmao. 😁😁😁

On the depo shot it does not stop I gained so much weight I stopped using it and went on the paraguard no hormones no weight gain
It probably depends on the person but my friend was on the depo for about 3 years & it was suppppeerrrr difficult for her to conceive when she was ready to.. It completely blocks your ovulation .. I only did one cycle of the depo shot when I was about 15 & I got my period for 2 weeks straight (before not getting it anymore due to the birth control) as well as my hair would fall out uncontrollably .. I've never gotten the shot again & my hair is back to normal🙌
I don't know yet but I would I'm not on any birth control because I don't want to be honestly my body changed to create my child why should I change it to stop the making of another. ...thank god for condoms lol

they didn't get her consent for the depo. and she got sick afterwards
I've heard a lot of women have gotten cervical cancer from it and the only birth control they use is the depo , even if they were with one many the whole time... a woman on my aunts facebook has a one year old son ,she's 26 and she has cervical cancer. there is another friend of hers that just had a baby and she went to get a pregnancy test because she thought she was pregnant again, she wasn't but they ended up giving her a mixed shot with the flu vaccine and the depo shot
@jjsmommyjj711 wow really ? they didn't mention it causing cancer .. she did tell me about getting a shot from my doctor to prevent cancer , she was pretty pushy about it , she kept saying it . But it was something about a disease you can get from having multiple sex partners , and the disease can cause cervical cancer
be careful with the depo a lot of women are getting cervical cancer because of it

All mommas on birth control! what birth control are you using , I don't know what to choose after the baby is born. I've never really been on birth control. I definitely don't want anything that can cause complications, weight gain and mood swings! thanks in advance!!

I had the depo. It made gain a lot of weight. Whatever you do don't get the Mirena !!! Worst mistake of my life I had in after my daughter , kept it in 2 years.... Took me 4 years to be able to conceive my son after having that!
