I'm skipping mine because all they're gonna tell me if I don't pass is that I've got to eat healthier. I just don't see the point in the test based off my research as long as I keep a healthy diet. my personal choice though. I prefer not to test my body by chugging a bottle of pure sugar.

My Mom didn't do anything about it when she got it with my sister and she ended up getting diagnosed with type 1 diabetes after my sister was born @aidensmommy @gunlovinmommy

@gunlovinmommy, will the doctors say anything if I miss it? I can just test myself for diabetes at home because I have the test strips, I just didn't know if that was necessary. @mom-09-16 does she still have diabetes ?

I just did my test on Wednesday (: it wasn't bad I actually thought the drink tasted pretty good like a squirt soda with extra sugar. (: good to get the test over with. I have a major sweet tooth so peace of mind either way will be good to know if I have or not. Since if untreated can make preterm labor more likely more issues for the baby such as being too heavy and breathing problems and also can have issues with too much amniotic fluid. my Dr said as long as you take the test by 28 ish weeks it's best so don't worry (:

well, my mom had gestational diabetes and I have so many Health issues because of it. Please go get the test done. I'm so sad that I have medical problems, can't do anything, have thyroid issues, issues trying to get pregnant, and blood sugar issues. Also, I am not just one of the weird ones, very common to cause still birth and issues later in life. PLEASE GET TESTED!

high sugar can result in the baby being born with messed up sugar, which is really dangerous for baby. and it affects their heart rate. undiagnosed could eventually kill the baby.

If there is a possibility you have gd they will more than likely say something. Yes she does, once you have it it doesn't go away, except for gestational diabetes. She's had it for 19 years @aidensmommy

(: Ps just make sure to bring a snack to eat once test is done. I got dizzy because I'm not used to not eating for 12 hours! I'm normally a eat every 2-4 hours kind of lady. haha.

If you go... get the lemon lime one its just like a flat sprite. I moved a lot and paced to burn it off. Tested out well no diabetes no anemia.

@dohmommy2016, so I have to fast? I looked it up and it said the prescreening you didn't have to fast, but the three hour test, you do.

I'm not used to not eating for the long either!

I was told by my Dr for both tests it's fasting for minimum 8 hours. and that what my pregnancy books said too
