When are you able to find out what you are having? Is it 13 weeks? Or 14?

depends on your doctor. but it can be as early as 14 weeks I believe. I think earlier with blood test.

Does it cost extra to get a blood test?

From what I have heard the blood work to find out the gender is actually to make sure there isn't issues such as down syndrome present and some insurance companies don't cover it. the gender is just a perk. @mysweetie858
