at this point... there's no way to know. You'll know more when your midwife/Doctor starts checking you. The first time my midwife checked me with my son I was only a fingertip dilated lol and only 1 cm dilated at 40 weeks. When I started labor and headed to the hospital I was only dilated 2 or 3 cm. I'm hoping with my next munchkin it'll go a little faster haha

No it just means baby isn't ready yet! I experienced this same thing with my son. My due date was Dec. 19th and he was born on Christmas Eve only because my midwife was able to somewhat strip my membranes. Otherwise I would've been induced the weekend after Christmas lol.

@missalexisnicole, I remember feel tht way with my son he was born tbe day after his due date but towards the end I was just ready to have him in my arms lol

Yeah you're fine! (: I've been 80% effaced, barely 1cm, and he's VERY low since 36 weeks! I'm not a little over 38

@missalexisnicole, thank you I was worried because with my son I wasn't told anything about being effaced just when I was 39 weeks I was 1 cm dilated.

I'm 80% effaced and barely 1cm. It's not bad at all. Just means it's not time yet! When I went into early labor (which ended up being false) the girl in the room next to me was in active labor and she was 100% effaced and dilating 1/2 cm every hour. I felt so bad for her 😭😭
