Question for mommas who have breast fed and pumped. Did your baby have a issue taking a bottle over breast feeding. ?
My bf thinks that if I breast feed our little girl, she won't take a bottle, and he won't get to feed her. So he asked me to strictly pump milk. Which I know will be extremely time consuming, and I will loose so much sleep I'll barley even get at night having to pump every 2 hours and for 30 minutes and then feed her. Plus freezing breast milk, kills some good stuff in the milk. I wanna experience that breastfeeding bond with her and he just seems to make me feel I'm being selfish because of it.
Idk what to do and feel really upset and depressed about this. Would love to hear some thoughts on breast feeding and feeding pumped milk also

My first took both, and I've had many friends do both and haven't heard of any issues. There are bottles made to be more like the breast, tommee tipee is the one my friend used. Let your boyfriend know that doing both happens every day, breastfeeding moms go back to work and send bottles but feed from the breast at home. No big deal.

Breastfeeding is an amazing bond and so good for mama and baby. I definitely don't think you're being selfish in anyway wanting to give your baby the best. Exclusive pumping is HARD. That being said--some babies have no issue going between bottle and breast. I would wait awhile before introducing the bottle for the sake of your supply. At about 4-6 weeks is when I would start pumping/introducing the bottle. There are sooooo many other ways daddy can bond with baby without having to feed them. Before our first we talked about that--bath time ended up being baby and daddy time.

I had a friend who did both, and had no issue.. I know it's all a matter of finding the right bottle and nipple. He apparently talked to some girls and they said their baby wouldn't take a bottle. @babynumbertwo516 thank you for the tip. I'll keep that bottle in mind. I sometimes feel so alone about the topic because since he wasn't a breast fed baby, he doesn't seem to think its necessary. Which it's not, but it's best. And I want to breast feed as long as I can.

I got breastflow bottles that mimicked breastfeeding. Mine did fine with both.

Not saying it's bad cuz I don't even know. I just went to a breast feeding class and the doctor highly recommend u don't breast feed and bottle feed with formula. But I'm a first time mom so idk even know what I'm gunna do lol

And also what @kmally said. They told the class not to pump till 3/4 weeks after u have the baby
