BPP checks amount of fluid and baby's breathing exercises. It's with out non stress test or NST

Just an ultrasound! I understand, only reason I know is because I work in the high risk ultrasound unit, so they do them all day

I'm 34 weeks and I have one every week. They "test" the baby based on movement- 2 points, breathing- 2 points, amniotic fluid level- 2 points, and I'm drawing a blank for the last one.. Blood flow? Pregnancy brain, haha but my Dr said anything above a 6 is good. My baby usually scores an 8 every time.

They haven't said why you have to have a BPP? Mine is due to gestational hypertension.

No worries, just a normal ultrasound. It's actually reassuring to be able to see your baby more. I got to get 4D pics of his sweet little face at my last one! :)

no they havent told me anything and on monday i have my glucose test but he told me today everything was fine so i saw that and got worried @skmamaof3

@skmamaof3, I think the other is is checking for open and closing of the hands, I had one the other day and I remember the dr saying that.

I think that's considered the movement part. It has something to do with blood flow, just can't remember how they word it.
