anyone have recommendations on breast pumps?? what's everyone's thought on manual breast pumps? I know nothing about them but I am going to need one since I'm going to be breast feeding.

I didn't get an electric pump with my first child, only used manual and my hand was so sore. It was exhausting to use. Was not a fan at all!

the lansinoh manual is only like $25 to $30 haven't used it yet to tell you my opinion on manual but that's an option for you. I'm on medicaid but here I believe they won't give you one until after baby is born and it took way too long for my card to get to me so I don't even want to know how long it would take for that to get to me so I just bought my own since they would only give a manual one anyways unless there's problems with baby that require an electric one

I live 750 miles from my parents I couldn't stay on their health insurance because I wasn't living with them and they were getting to much money taken out of my dad's paycheck for me to stay on it. I have to try and get a license in this state soon so I can get put on the states health insurance. either that or my fiance and I are going to have to forget the idea of an actual wedding and go to the court house and get married so I can get put on his through his work. it's really cruddy wasn't expecting to lose my job it was kind of out of no where they fired me the day before my first ultrasound appointment and I haven't even able to find another job since... it's been a month. @kmrandall92

no klahoma.girl55, see if your insurance will cover one :) your doctor can actually write a prescription for an electric pump, and nursing bras if your insurance covers them!

I have an electric Medela double breastpump. I have used it with all my children, but this time I am using the socks off it as my son is in NICU. works wonderfully, but they are pricey!
took me 10 minutes to pump this from both breast after feeding Ethan for 25 minutes. My milk supply is going crazy yesterday I pumped 8 bottles my milk stash is going to be great

Definitely get an electric, I also had the medela double and loved it
