chances are, most drs won't ask.. so it's best to have a birth plan with that specified so that your Dr and hospital staff know what you want

my Dr gave me a form to fill out but I had one written anyways...just who I want there with me, anything special you want done, pain management and such...just a plan to make so Dr's and nurses know what you want...I make copies for everyone but I ended up having a c section but they were so great in sticking with everything. I would ask your dr and they can talk to you about different options and what to put in your plan

yes you have a say...put it in the birth plan and also mention at the time. I was going to do it and hospital was all for it but I had a c section and couldn't have it done.
