Ladies my doctor has prescribed me a lot of medication now it a total that I take 9 pills a day is it safe to be taking nine pills a day? 1) is prenatal 2) is for iron 3) uti 4 and 5) is for herpes even though she said she know I don't have any she just wants to be safe. I take it three times daily and the other I take 2 times daily 6) is for gerd now all those pills I take 9 everyday not all together but different times is it safe? Please I need anyone's advice.... I'm 30 weeks

I did test negative @yolee but the medication said it too prevent infections coming in and soars and blisters

Doctors only prescribe meds only if they sure enough of what you having if you test negative there's no need to take pills for herpes! that's a strong medication..

There's a test for herpes they take a a lil biopsy to get check in laboratory why would they prescribe you something that could harm baby? I don't get it..
They've done a blood test on me it only came as a uti but I did just google the medication and it to prevent infections or soars so I feel much better now actually cus it just one bump on me or soar/blister on me and it always goes away @queeneden
Yea, I don't think I'd take it especially if I knew for a fact I don't have it. There is a blood test that will rule it out 100%. The risk with herpes is the baby catching it while coming down the birth canal.

Exactly what I'm saying and she thought cus I have a small bump on my bottom part but I told her I always get it like a bump or a pimple and it only itches if I'm walking or its Tmi sweaty down there but I new if it was something else it would be itchy all the time .. But she said I know it not herpes but just to be on the safe said and I look at her like then why take it I'm thinking just buying some cream for it and for it to go away cus every time I get one small bump it always goes away you know.
If you don't have something why on earth would you be taking a pill for it? That's what I would be asking my doctor. I definitely don't want to be on anything "extra" while pregnant.
