Gestational diabetes question: can I munch on LOW carb food, like olives or pickles, or "free" foods, in the two hours between eating and testing my blood sugars? I'm not hungry, per say, but I do want to snack on something.

I use a glucose monitor at home to test my blood. I keep my snacks around 15g of carbs and my meals 30-60g of carbs. I can eat pretty much anything I want that way. Just not ice cream, malts, shakes, etc. LOL

If so then it's is usually test pre meal and one to two hours after completely finished eating anything. If you mean glucose test where you drink the bottle Then it's up to your Dr fasting or not.

I have it and I do sometimes but I think it's best to wait after the two hours

I already have it... I'm just trying to figure out about the time between eating and testing myself.
