In SD, is it legal for docs to deny your wishes for an early induction at 39 weeks if there is no medical reason? I know they try to advise against it, but can they flat out deny it? Its full term so isnt it your choice? 😓

well i know that in 2013(i think) there was a law passed that they cant induce earlier than 39 weeks if there isnt medical reason, but it didnt specify anything after that.. and since im a high risk pregnancy and had to have my baby flipped into the right position instead of breech, its just been making me super stressed out and anxious. And ive been stuck at 3cm dil and 80% eff for 3 weeks now, with baby girl causing me excruciating pain in my abdomen, but my doc wont listen to anything i say about it! i almost faint sometimes too if shes in the wrong position, but they dont consider that 'medical reason' which is why i was wondering if i can just choose to be induced. :(

They are allowed to deny it. My hospital doesn't induce unless you're 41 weeks, and even then some make you wait until 42 weeks.

Why Are Many Women Unaware of Their Own Anatomy?

the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳 now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=516754249189660&id=100025652680318 so yes ima go hard in the comments because unborn babies are involved!
