This is way off topic but heavy on my heart. There has been so many brutal murders of black people by cops these past few years and seeing the responses of many white people has me sick right now:/. The racism and hate is so real! Just regular people with families laughing and spewing out a world of disgust for my people. These are our teachers, coworkers, policemen, housekeepers, plumbers, just regular people with regular jobs who are always around us.. Smiling in our faces and shaking our hands. To see their real opinion is so sad and despicable! I know that not all white people are like this but damn is it interesting to see. Makes me second guess who I talk to sometimes. At least I have a safe haven (here) where most people seem to love each other and nothing is about a particular race. Facebook is getting so depressing!

I was raised in a primarily white community in Iowa. however, my parents have taught me that it does not matter the color of anyone. you yay someone the way you would like to be treated &, if they do something that makes you unable to do that, you leave them the hell alone! it ain't hard to be respectful, kind, & loving!

I agree @lilfree16 racism is a mental disorder. there are people of every ethnicity who do the exact same worse things, people these days just stick to one group to blame. we're all equal, when we cut ourselves we bleed the same red blood. I'm so thankful for this group of people on this app who don't care about the color of your skin and your ethnicity :)

It breaks my heart that people are so cruel. It's 2016, we should be over race and skin color by now ): *hugs* know you're loved by all the decent people at least!

yeah.. it scares me too.. i am happy my nephew has made it to 20 years old..but jersey cops arent about that life... they too busy saying you ran a stop sign and giving you tickets. what makes it worse is that that non "black" people think it stops with us.. its disgusting seeing latinos be racists.. first of all i have is black latinos in my family ,2nd.. please know what the african dispora is.. and you will soon realize your people come from the exact same place.

im starting to think racism is mental disorder... you hate me because i have melanin lol you're just a simpleton

It just doesn't make any sense. There are areas that we literally do not go to SPECIFICALLY because it's known for racism. We should be able to go anywhere but that'll never happen. @hermommy

We go through crazy shit everyday here in Chicago. I was about to get gas when this extremely racist lady told me "oh so you people actually have money for that type of car? Or was that stolen?". I was so confused because it was so random and made no sense. My grandpa was at a gas station nearby years ago and was jumped by a group of white men for reasons none of us will ever understand. It's so sad. Sometimes it's hard to keep our heads up, especially when you have so many people telling you that racism doesn't exist or that we deserve such treatment or that we are exaggerating our struggles. @mrshamilton830
