@brittneylove, it doesn't. I think mine is mostly pride. we could use the money if he ever did die but the history between us is too great for me to even want to attend his funeral. he's always had it in his mind that I'll be back and will always need him

yeah i have a terrible relationship with my birth father.. my step dad is amazing but it sucks when your real dad isnt what you hoped for... mine is broke but if he somehow left me money after he passed id take it no problem because i feel like its the least he couldve done for me.

I'd take it- even if I donated it to a cause like big brothers/big sisters or to help children without parents.

@brittneylove, that's a good way to look at it. sad thing is him and my mom were married before she passed so he's always provided and was there but money alone doesn't show that you love your children if you never spent time with them.

@rgaine, that's nice of you! only way I think I would take it is if he put it in my son's name. and that would stay in his acct until he turned 18, or started working

i would, because I have been homeless and I never want that for my child, but I would cut him out of my life, his decision if I stay in the will or not. my dads the same way, he said I get $1

lmao he's mentally ill so its not always his fault, he can't realize what he's doing but whatever. I'm happy with $1.
