anybody have anyways to get labor started? I have gone into labor 3 times but my doctor said today that I'm 2cm dilated and that he will let me go next time. I just want my water to break already! anybody have any ideas?
@rennysmommy, it's been going good. I have been bouncing on it since yesterday.. I think it's helping. every time I stand up when I'm done I feel a lot of pressure down there.
@jakesmomma15, I'm convinced the yoga ball really gets things going! You have to really bounce, obviously nothing crazy that's gonna hurt the baby, but If you just do little bounces it isn't gonna work. And moves those hips back and forth. Especially if you're feeling pressure I think it just might do the trick!
Yes lol! I have been walking like there is no tomorrow for a while now. But I think I will get the yoga ball and try it out!! @rennysmommy I have been feeling really bad pressure down there all day today so hopefully the yoga ball will help!
@jakesmomma15, I had my son at 36 weeks. My labor was stopped twice because I almost had him too early, they told me after 35 weeks they wouldn't stop it anymore and I was on pills to stop my contractions until 35 weeks. I had been bouncing on the ball for a couple days and the night before I had him my contractions were 3-5 minutes apart(they were always close even when they were just Braxton hicks) so I got on the yoga ball and bounced for about an hour, anything that moves your hips is good. Woke up around 7 am kept thinking I had to pee and when I stood up from the toilet my water broke. I didn't go to the hospital for maybe an hour and a half because I was gettin things together and contractions weren't bad. By the time I got to the hospital I could barely walk but was only dilated to a 2 and 1/2. But I think the ball definitely helped. I had also walked around the mall that day but everyone always says walk so I'm sure you're trying that too.
Ik what she meant @maybabyboy . what I meant was that I have been in labor 3 times and they just give me sleeping pills and send me home. I have contractions daily just my water hasn't broken yet. @kaliyahsmommy does have a point though.. it is my pregnancy and I know what I have gone through. my doctor said it was fine and has given me shots to make sure he is fully developed in case my water does break..
ok, I'm sorry but the problem is that obviously your baby isn't ready to come yet. why would you not want you child to finish developing for a couple more weeks? at this point, if labor starts on its own, yeah it's ok, but it's best for your baby to stay in there for a couple more weeks. that's what @mrsgeorge means.
