I started laughing because when they injected the fluid, I could feel a tingling sensation travel down my back into one of my legs. I also had my husband in front of me making faces and laughing so I was entertained and didn't feel anything else.
The general anesthetic that they use to numb you for the epidural is the only part that hurts and I had no pain after they took it out.
It didn't hurt to get it ... At all but the after pain it will have been 2 weeks Friday and I've been in so much pain since then
The women in my family say you don't even realize the pain because of the contractions. The only hard thing is staying still. But even with that I'm not sure I want one. I saw a video on how the procedure is done and my husband said "hell no your not getting that."
It wasn't bad to me at all I started falling asleep when he was doing it lol. I was terrified and wasn't sure about getting it, but in the moment of contractions, you don't care.
For all three that I had I felt the needle scrape my spine. It was horrible for me I had to have someone hold me so I didn't move. This time I'm not having anything because I am too scared of it and not being able to get out of bed. :(
