Doctor appointment went OK. Baby is doing well. Heart rate of 139, and the little bug kicked at the doctor. But I still have glucose in my urine even though I passed my glucose test. They did a random glucose today to see if it is elevated. I have never had glucose issues before so it concerns me. The last time I chalked it up to drinking a coke before my appointment, but this time I only had water, a banana, and spaghetti-o's. Feeling worried. Now doc is saying its possible to have preterm labor and to watch for signs.

So only the banana would have counted because I ate the spaghetti-o's about an hour prior. Either way my doctor wants to watch it cause he doesn't think that should be the cause.

your body, while pregnant, retains some Glucose to ensure the babies kidneys function properly! It takes approximately 3 hrs to totally distribute the Glucose before it is dumped!

But that shouldn't have been enough to cause enough glucose to spill over. When the kidneys filter glucose it retains it until a specific level before it spills over. What I ate should not have been able to increase my glucose that high otherwise people would have glucose in their urine more often.

Pasta is a carb, which breaks down into Glucose! That could be why you had it in your urine, and bananas have natural sugars in them!
