My daughter has seriously been a perfect baby sense about 3 weeks old , sleeping threw the night (except feelings) and no crying or fighting her sleep at all... Well about 3 days ago (only at night) she started fighting her sleep .. It was just a little fussing and crying the first night. The second night it was a little worse and tonight she was like freaking out crying hysterically to the point that she was hyperventilating (which scared the shit out of me) even when she was asleep she was still breathing weird.. But now she's fine, and fast asleep.. So my question is ... What could be causing this ? Iv seriously never heard her cry like she did tonight in her whole (4months) life .. And Iv never had a problem with getting her to sleep... It's worrying me that she's crying so bad.. And she's not over tired she takes at least 4 naps a day and seems well rested all day but at night when she starts getting tired and I start rocking her and singing to her she just starts fussing and tonight she cried for almost an hour straight... I do not do the cry out method I was holding and comforting her the entire time , tryed feeding her , doing skin to skin, her binky , blanket, no blanket , rocking, walking ... Littrally everything and she would NOT stop crying.... Any advice would be great .. I hate seeing my daughter cry like that , it broke my heart seeing her so upset and I just felt useless
I gave my daughter a cold wash cloth and teething tablet... It seemed to help... She loveddd being held and rocked to sleep... I think it's a comfort thing
She's had growth spurts and she's fussy but nothing like this I mean she was crying to the point that she was almost throwing up and having to take short breathes like hyperventilating @camdensmama and if it's teething wouldn't it happen all the time ? What can I do to see if that's what it is ? Or eliminate teething as the issue .. Iv seriously never heard her cry like that I was freaking out cause she was like not even breathing sometimes @sonjaeg
Sounds like she may have colic or growth spurt! My son (2mo) gets like that in his growth spurts! Super clingy at night! Especially when he knows it's bed time.
My son was the exact same way until one night he started teething! It was terrible I felt like he was terribly sick the way he was crying. Babies can even get fevers from teething and that makes them feel even more icky. My son literally only teeths at night. It's worse at different times for different babies. Try frozen teething rings, try a dose of infant Tylenol before bed and if it breaks the routine you'll know. Also my mom always told me to at least try the oragel once on him because it kicks in immediately and if your baby stops crying you know that was the issue.
