Is it safe to use a Pack 'N Play instead of a crib? I have a crib for him , but when we stay at my bf's house he will use PNP if it's safe.

Where else can I buy cribs beside Amazon eBay and babies r us/ toys r us? I'm looking for a simple convertible crib nothing too pricey.
