you know when you try to give your sons dad a chance to be in his life and he fails. but he was all for it at the start after we did the DNA test. it hurts kinda like my son started realizing that it was his daddy and he knew the difference from his step dad and real dad. and now....what do i do my son was suppose to go stay with him for spring break and now he wants nothing to do with him. well as he says is he doesn't have time with work and his other son.... but moral to this should i ride him for child support because i wasn't going too but i feel like pay back would be nice then again why bother .... idk

You should file for child support anyway. It's not for payback- it's to ensure your son is cared for... And can always be placed into an account for emergencies or college if you're able to make so without it.

make sure he pays the courts too so you get the check from the court and not through him to ensure you get one

No matter what he made a baby with you and excepted that when you guys made your son. Child support is there for a reason..use it.

@beckahhkathleen, The money is for your husband though- that's money the deadbeat needs to fork over monthly to your son and you as the bio mom are there to be a good steward of it and make sure it's spent towards your son and that can be now or held for later.

Now you're asking a question I can't answer unfortunately since I have only been on the child end of the equation as a FTM. I'd post that question separately and I'm sure you'll have some mommies that have advice for you. Hugs!
