At what age did y'all start letting your babies "cry it out"? I'm talking after a bottle, changed diaper, Tylenol, orajel & gas relief! My baby girl will be 3 months tomorrow & I still have a hard time just letting her cry. She's gotten so spoiled to being held every time she cries, so I'm trying to slowly stop doing that.

I wouldn't ever let my son cry it out... I feel it's cruel personally so I would never do it for my child... but to each their own... no judgment here

Maybe instead of picking them up when they start to cry just lay next to them and soothe them? Talk to them and rub their head or belly or back. That way you won't feel bad but they won't think they will get picked up every time.

My son is 2. I had a hard time when he was a baby to cry it out but there was a few times I did because I had things to do and even the doctor had told me to let him cry from time to time so it helps there lungs. so I did.

Babies release a stress hormone when you let them cry it out. There is a lot of research to back that. Doctors may tell you to let them cry it out because it's good for their lungs, but it's not true. There's actually research that shows how letting your lo cry it out(this means no interaction when they cry) can cause trust issues and such later in life. Also, babies can't learn to self soothe. They just learn that no one is going to come and so they give up. There is no judgement here, but I just want you to have that knowledge.

You can not spoil your baby by holding him/her. Crying is your baby's only way of communication. He/she has spent 9 months in a warm womb being cuddled by mommy, that's all they know. I agree with pp^, plus your little one will only be this little and dependant for so long. She will eventually outgrow this phase. :)
