her baby may not be laching on properly. there is also numbing cream for your nipple so it won't hurt

It's not comfortable, but after the first couple of days (with a good latch) it shouldn't hurt.

It's an uncomfortable sensation at first, I will not lie to you. You can get creams or nipple shields at first. Once you and baby establish a good routine, it's like second nature and won't bother you.
