Mommies, please help me. My baby has such a difficult time latching. He would have the nipple in his mouth and not suck it. Once he finally latches he's fine. He eats till he falls asleep. But this has been going on all night. I've literally gotten zero sleep and it's 6 o'clock. He falls asleep on the boob and when i lay him down he starts crying again after like 5 minutes. He is only 4 days old. I'm scared that if I keep missing this much sleep that I'm gonna end up getting extremely depressed. Also he has really watery yellow poopy. Is that normal when on breast milk? He has mostly boob
have you tried squishing your nipple when hes trying to latch? Also if you are engorged or extremely full it will be difficult for him to latch so you might have to pump or hand express some milk out before he can fit it in his mouth
I haven't tried nursing in bed. He tries so hard to grip onto the nipple but my stupid nipples are flatter. :'(
also, are you swaddling him? I've started swaddling my baby and setting her in her bassinet. she fusses a bit but I just let her cry it out. its ok to do that
Yea I agree with @iiselphiusii, I nurse my daughter on my side so I can just nap while my daughter sleep-feeds. I was able to get free nipple shields from the lactation consultant at the hospital
Have you tried nursing your baby while lying on your side? I've learned to kind of doze while doing that.
I hope I get a shield soon because I'm so extremely sleepy and sick and would kill for 45 minutes of sleep
the poop is normal and try a nipple shield
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
My 7 week old baby falls asleep faster and sleeps longer on his tummy. Which I have read he shouldn't sleep on his stomach. I'm just wondering how bad would it be if he did.

He has to hold my boob to fall asleep
help!
earlier today, my daughter was sleeping on my chest, and she stopped breathing for a good few seconds, since then, she has been awake, and won't fall asleep unless I'm holding her. I try to put her down, even on my lap and she won't fall asleep unless I'm holding her... we've been feeding her more and more, I can't pump anything else.. I want to fall asleep with her because that is literally the only way she's sleeping but my SO is against that, and pulls the whole "if something happens t...
Yea I've tried squishing it. Maybe I should just let it drip out into a bottle and feed him that for now. I don't have a pump yet
