I wouldn't, and never had. Only reason is because you never know how big your baby is gonna be and if you need to return anything. My son was out of newborn clothes within a week so we had to return most of his stuff and get a size bigger.. Also, no babies are trying on the clothes at the store lol, I think their pretty safe.
Yup! I washed all of my son's clothes beforehand. Unless their packaged in plastic. Clothes are always falling on the floor and people shop with dirty hands and etc. just to be on the safe side I say wash your child's clothes!
I did, only because I've seen people drop clothes on the floor, and they just pick them up and put them right back on the rack. I've even seen a babies outfit with a big dirty footprint on the back where I guess someone stepped on it when it had fallen and they didn't bother to move it. That made me want to wash all the clothes I got. New or not. It does suck because babies go through clothes like crazy, and my first didn't even wear most of hers that I ended up just giving away or selling for a lot less. But oh well. I'd say wash them, just cause.
I just did the normal cycle on washer, warm to cold, then my normal setting on my dryer. Which is like 60 minutes I believe. I also used my regular soap, but I know they make soap just for baby clothes as well, but I always washed the clothes with my clothes so I never bothered with baby soap. The only time I did special care with baby clothes is if they were a material that needed it, or needed to be air dried. Everything else I did as I would my regular clothes.
