I had a horrible first experience 😓 The dr didn't administer it right the first time, took him FIVE times to get the needle in the right place. I rested for about an hour then started feeling the contractions again but even more painful than before. When I told my nurses I was in a lot of pain the didn't believe me! Saying I was feeling the pressure of the baby. I was crying and shaking couldn't control my breathing from how much pain I was in. Finally after another hour the called the dr and started the whole epidural process again and thankfully got it in the first try. 😭

I definitely am doing it all natural. These stories are crazy and some scary!

I would encourage anybody interested to watch "The Business of Being Born" on YouTube. Convinced me to go natural.

my sister in law got it and she regretted it. she had the first couple natural. everyone tells me it's awesome at first but your back kills you after. and me I'm a control freak about my body I want control when pushing. and I've researched epidurals. don't be ashamed if you get one though.

My best friend actually had a stroke from an epidural. I always say to do your research and be well informed before making any health decision. I personally cannot have one because of a spinal curvature.

I had an amazing experience with my epidural. Didn't feel any pain and my labor went smooth. I'm planning on another one with my son.

I had one at 9cm to slow my labor and asked for a low dose to reduce pain but allow me to feel enough to push asap!!

I got mine at 7 cm and it was too late. it only affected half of my body and then it was gone within 5 minutes. I plan to have one with this baby but much sooner.

I had a good epidural, I was able to help move my legs but didn't have any pain and didn't have any pain in my back afterwards either.
