So, yesterday was my 20th week mark. I was in the shower and all of a sudden I got super dizzy. I turned off the shower, and as I was opening the door to get out, I kinda swayed and almost passed out. I sat down on top of the toilet right away for a few minutes and dry heaved a little. Then I felt fine.. Has anyone had this happen to them before? It was such an odd feeling and the first time it has ever happened to me..
@kellynicole, @pixiestix I'm guessing it had to do a little with my blood sugar. My vision did darken a little as I was getting out, so I just sat down right away, then went to drink water and eat something. @jessilee318 @shananaginsx @rbryanna I do really like my water hot. I didn't even think of that. Dang, I hate cool showers...lol.. I'm guessing it was a mixture of both, because I hadn't eaten yet and my water was hot. Hmmm...
I get dizzy whenever I put the water too hot, it shouldn't be much hotter than your body temperate. Which sucks when you enjoy taking hot showers, but for the safety of you and the baby try to make your showers cooler.
It means your water is too hot. I had something similar happen a few times and talked to my doctor. It's because the change in temperature because your body is changing so much.
i had that happen one time about halfway through my pregnancy. only difference is my vision went black and i puked. my blood sugar had plummeted and i didnt notice it quick enough. im not diabetic, nor did i have gd, but im hypoglycemic and while pregnant it was much worse
it happened to me but I was in the bath tub. by chance do you like your water really hot? because I believe that can cause it. that's what I think caused it for me anyway.
@jenjen93, it doesn't have to be cold, just turn it down a notch. And just be careful, I Stand in the shower for a minute after I turn my water off before I get out. If you get dizzy, sit down and close your eyes.
