How did you guys transition baby to crib? I have a 5 year old and I co slept with him & he refused to sleep in his own bed, still does! Lol. But I have a 5 month old who sleeps next to me in a rock n play. But she's learning to sit up. Our routine starts about 8pm. I do baths for both kids about every other night. But to get her to sleep I rock her, I have a little minion that lights up and sings. I turn that on, give her a bottle and she falls asleep like that. So should I continue that then once she falls asleep try laying her in her crib??

And one mom had a great idea to lay your hand on baby while in crib and softly rock them..she'll play for a little while but eventually will fall asleep. We are doing very well in transitional stage, just don't do what I did before and say forget for a few nights cause then it's like starting all over again.

When I put my son down with his eyes close, he opens them slightly to see if I'm still around and if he sees me he'll go back to sleep but if he doesn't see me he doesn't go to sleep

@jyarborough30, @katienkaden the big question, lol. Do you guys put your baby to bed with a blanket? I usually wrap my daughter up with her fav fleece blanket. I'm terrified of sids!! Right now she has a really stuffy nose so I think I'm going to try for the crib once her nose isn't so stuffed and she can breathe a bit better.

@ciaramarie311, they say it's not safe to but they tell you to swaddle infants. I do wrap the mattress in the blanket I got Zy for Christmas cause it is a little thick and soft..but I make sure I put her in a footies pj and might put one to her waist most times I don't because of the SIDS scare too.

Science! My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?

I'm not at all comfortable with the thought of having my baby sleep in a crib so therefore she will sleep with me & her dad . Eventually I will have to get her to sleep in her own bed but until then she is to sleep in my bed & idc what anyone has to say about it

Okay moms, I just joined, but need some sleep advice. I have an amazing, spoiled 8 month old baby... She only falls asleep in my arms. She still gets up several time a night to eat [formula] and wakes up constantly wanting me or a paci. She is only sleeping in her crib for about an hour every night. Otherwise She s in bed with me. I am exhausted and want to get her sleeping in her crib all night. And able to fall asleep on her own. Any advice?? Not a fan of CIO methods... Thanks ladies!

Baby sleeping in their room?

Baby sleeping in their room? How many of yalls babies are sleeping in their own room already? This is my baby's 3rd night alone in her room. She does GREAT! Sleeps better and longer in her crib. I wasn't planning on letting her sleep alone yet but my husband put her to sleep one night and put her in her room. We were both thinking she'll wake up soon and then I'll just put her in the bassinet in our room. Well, she never woke up until 7:30am ?. I was shocked! She would usually wake up twice at night to eat and then fall asleep in my bed. But in her crib, she slept all night. I'm actually very sad about this. I miss her ?I'm having a hard time having her in her bedroom. How are you ladies coping with your baby in another room?
