youngest in the middle for me.

Rear facing til at least 1-2, longer if you can (some recommend 3-4 if possible). My son is 2.5 and forward facing.

@emily18234, I'm worried about the seats not fitting well next to each other. My son is two so he's in a normal car seat. And I've been reading that the forward facing should be in the middle cuz the rear facing is already 84% safer than the forward. Ugh so stressful!!!

@stephhhx3, I hadn't seen that! Ugh, it was so hard to get my son's car seat in the middle...guess now I know for the switcheroo! Guess it's time to experiment 😕

@mommagotbump16, I'm due in April so I have a little time but I'm trying to prepare 😩😩

my daughter is 17 months and she is forward facing and I put her on the passenger side of the back seat I read something that says its better for them to be not behind drivers side in case of accident a car is most likely to hit drivers side. and you can see them easier on opposite side of you. my newborn will be in middle.

true. I do it more so for "fairness" in the front seat. the front seat isn't supposed to touch the rear facing car seat. if i put it directly behind the drivers seat, my fiance can't drive...and he does 75% of the time. putting it in the middle is the only way the front seats can't touch it
