well had my growth scan today, hes measuring two weeks behind at only 4lb his head growth is normal but belly and femur are slightly smaller, now im classed as "iugr" and have to have x2weekly checks and scans.. has anybody else experienced this?
good luck hun and yea i go weekly but get growth scans every two weeks @elouu1993 x
@tuftyturtle, oh wow! thats amazing.. i always thought if your induced, labour is longer 😂 xx
@babyboots, thankyou hun, you too! i have another growth scan next friday but have to go in on monday too to be monitored again x
@elouu1993 I'm 5ft 3 and my baby is in the 90-95th percentile :) xx
@elouu1993, I was worried about ending in c section. especially as I was being induced early so body wouldn't be ready etc. but my induction was super quick. I had contractions from the moment they put the pessary in and I went from 2 cm to fully dilated in about 30 minutes. pushed about 5 times 😂 i was shocked how fast it happened. so you never know !! xx
well i hope all goes well for you hun.. i have yet another growth scan on Monday just hoping shes started ro creep back up in size Xx @elouu1993
@babyboots, oh bless you! it certainly is but will be worth it once the little monkeys are here🙊 im worried they will section me too as the midwife today told me alot of the time a iugr mummy ends up with a section but they will try to induce me first! xxx
yea im having my baby girl on week 37 wich is only 24 days away i cant be induced as iv had two sections and they dont allow it.. but im having another c section as thats what i was advised by consultants.. its such a worry isnt it @elouu1993 x
@babyboots, aww hun! apperently i might be induced around the 10th feb after ive seen the consultant xx
yea im going through this at the min @elouu1993 x
I thought my daughter was a good weight for 37 weeks but apparently she was 8th centile ! I think over the years babies have gradually got bigger and now they expect babies to be much bigger. Obviously the centile charts ate based on national averages so the average birth weight must have changed over time and now that babies are bigger what was 'normal' a few years ago is considered small. They just like to keep a close eye on smaller babies 😊
@elouu1993 Plus it is an estimate, he could weigh a lot more than 4lbs!
@elouu1993 Well 4lbs seems fine considering a lot of babies are 5lbs at birth :/ They put on 1/2 a pound a week in the last 4 weeks xxx
@tuftyturtle, thankyou hun! thats made me feel better, glad your little girl is doing well💖 xx
@winterbaby95, they said its not :/ dont understand why though as i was 10stone when i got pregnant and im also only 5ft 4 so i wasnt expecting to have a massive baby but to be told hes too small has worried me abit as up untill yesturday he was above the 50th centile xxx
I had a baby 3 weeks ago with iugr. was induced at 37 weeks weighing 5lb 11. She struggled with her weight in first two weeks and went down to 5lb. but it's week she's gained it all back and is 5lb 10. Other than that she's perfectly healthy and fine so try not to worry! I had scans fortnightly between 20 and 30 weeks and weekly from 30 weeks onwards. I think at 34 weeks baby was between 4 and 4.5 lb but I can't remember. I know it's hard not to worry but you're already quite far along so only have to hold out a couple more weeks for a safe delivery x
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
