how common is it to have twins? it is true twins skip a generation? my boyfriend and his brother are fraternal twins. everyone keeps telling me I'm the one that's going to have twins once I get pregnant it.

faternal twins would be in his mother's genetics, not his father's, therefore the fact he is a faternal not effecting your chances as a couple. let that not fool you though, as mine and my husband's twins and spontaneous... true blessing. no twins on either side!
Having twins strictly has to do with a gene you'd get from your side of the family and if I remember correctly it'd be from your dad's side.
twins run strongly in both me and my husbands families. Hell he is a twin himself. I had my son and now we are thinking with our luck we only want three kids so we will have a second and then go to have a third and end up with twins for a total of four kids lol
me and boyfriend are twins plus my dad is a triplet I am only have one baby .. but the second time around may be different lawd!
I've heard it has to run on mom's side of the family not dad's. I was thinking the same thing when I asked the dr she told me it has to run on mom's side of the family.
My husband family has twins on his side but they do skip generations so its possible. You have a 50/50 chance but you will find out @stacykay

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing.
