I just had my test done day before yesterday. And my OB said if it's positive then just use anti-biotics while in labor to treat it.

Aw I understand. I'm a first time mom too and would also freak out but the emergency nurse in me knows that I've never heard any type of complications for the infant so far when mom says they had it.

It's pretty common and easily treated from what I understand. I've never heard of complications related to the mom having this.

no it didn't and my niece was also fine. it's pretty common in pregnancies. they just make a note in your chart and make sure to get antibiotics...I wouldn't worry...I have known a lot a people who were positive and all have healthy babies.

I was induced and they had everything ready, I had to have an emergency c-section, but it was because of something totally different. but my daughter was very healthy. and she still is. she is 14 months and has never been sick.

@eskawho, did it harm the baby in anyway? ? my dr. is trying to see if they can induce me but after reading this im very scared and sad ive been wanting to start a family for a while and now im scared that something can happen to my baby girl

I was positive and all they did was give me antibiotics during labor.

I was positive so was my sister...all they do is give you antibiotics during labor in an IV...I had a c-section so I didn't had to take it.
