To all the moms already: what are some things you forgot in your hospital bag? What are some not so obvious things to bring?
@mamalamadingdong, thank you! I definitely am overthinking it lol. Girls at my work just keep bothering me about it and how important is.
Ask the hospital if they supply Dermoplast. If not, then THAT! Lol. Try not to overthink packing- you won't use most of what you bring anyways, lol. I made this mistake two out of two times.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Things I never thought I'd say...
Until I became a mom:
graduate
What year did you graduate high school?
I mean... it's important to an extent, but not really as much as we all like to think it is. If you think about it, it's only purpose is to make you more comfortable, lol. I totally stressed about it (I even typed up a 3 page, color-coded checklist, lol) and went and bought all these new things for it (new suitcase, robe, slippers, travel products, disposable underwear, blanket, the works) and hardly used any of it. I had enough energy to shower once and use one change of clothes (I had like 3). Your priorities change when you have your baby! So for me, if I were to have another baby, the essentials would be: 2 changes of clothes, minimal hygiene products, make up, phone & charger, Dermoplast, blanket (you do get cold). However, it's kinda fun preparing and you do want to make sure you're comfortable, so have at it! So... I'll tell you what to not generally worry about bringing: a robe, nightgown, pads, underwear, baby diapers, wipes, shower towel, and pillow. They provide all of that usually. Have fun with it! 😊
