I know juice isn't the best for them at a young age, but it is the only thing helping him go. I mentioned it to the nurse at his appt monday and she wasn't concerned.
the very first time he was only 2 weeks. then everything was fine until about 6-7 weeks. thats when I tried karo for a week, even doing it 2 times a day but it didnt help. at about 7-8 weeks I did the juice. I mixed with water at first but it wasn't thick enough so he was having a hard time drinking it and choking on it. now I just replace an ounce of water with an ounce of juice in one bottle a day. (he gets 4oz so I do 3oz water 1oz juice but still do 2 scoops of formula).
just be careful using those, you don't want her to become dependent on them to go. they told us to use karo syrup but it wasn't helping so I just give him an ounce of apple prune juice every day and he goes fine now.
suppositories actually could irritate her. I wouldnt try it... try apple juice 1 oz or 2 my baby was pooping hard and he bled the apple juice helped so much.
is she crying with the constipation , tummy ache ? it could be the formula.
I've been putting a little Karo in her bottles but it doesn't help much she only goes once a day but you can tell she's still constipated
ugh i know they are so tiny !and she was 5weeks ! if she goes more then 4 days call her pediatrician and let them know , they will give her medicine to help her smooth bowel movements
I just don't feel comfortable with sticking that all the way up there I wouldn't want to hurt anything.. @alejandraa1314
i used those in my babygirl and it worked ! the doctor was telling me to give her 1oz of water and 1oz of apple juice but at that age the shouldn't be drinking that , so i just try these and she was perfectly fine .But i know how you feel i was feeling the same way:/
oh he's now 9 weeks old.
