Has anyone ever done or plan on doing 'delayed cord clamping?" How about encapsulating their placenta? I am curious as to how all this works & am interested.
@nicholefrank, Wow $500 is a lot. I might as well just keep taking my prenatals lol. I don't think I'd be able to eat the placenta raw though.
@rochelleyayy, How do you go about doing that? Do you just speak to your doctor about it?
I did the delayed (because I donated my cord blood) I didn't get to hold him though because I had a c section, they took him out and kinda laid him by my feet until they cut the cord and they let my husband see him. the capsule are expensive!! like in NC it was 500$ for them to do it. but free to just take home and eat.
I wrote it in my birth plan and either I or my boyfriend will let the nurses and Doctor know my preferences for delivery. I want to do delayed cord clamping because I'm RH Negative so my blood can't come in contact with the babies blood so I want to wait until I deliver the placenta to cut the cord
