I stay on the south side won't catch me near the north or east but now I live off Atlantic in sin city moving in two weeks I use to go out once a while but got pregnant I do not drink at all except holidays I was a smoker until I got pregnant but its shitty here the city the police the people I was raised in new York and with the exception of gangs it had nothing compared to jax @tinyram09

@leesh.b, actually no you really dont get that much better with military because alot of these military gf,fiance and wives are out fucking around on their men.. and these bitches want to act like they are better then everyone and they arent! i treat every body with the same damn respect until you get on my bad side..im 31 with a 6 1/2 year old son and im between 10 and 12 weeks pregnant and even though i was raised in jville except for when i lived in philly for a couple years..i dont get scared to go anywhere on jax anymore but i grew up in the ghetto ist hood you could ever imagine so theres not much that scares me anymore.. i would love to have more girlfriends especially mommy ones.. i dont go out and party or drink alcohol anymore so im not bout that life like i used to be.. if you dont mind me asking what part of town do u live on? i live in atlantic beach about 7 minutes from the base

@littlelentil, just be smart especially as a mommy but there are dinner fun things to get into here like the soul circus is here Disney on Ice is coming next month they have the mosh and slinkees I do stuff with my kids for the most part I have a best friend Alexis and we do things together when we can she is also a mommy

yes @tinyram09 I have one good friend here but came through allot of bad friendships here I hear it use to be nice but now it's terrible im scared to move to certain sides of town of even go to certain sides of town and I don't even let my kids go outside I have a 7 year old girl and a one year old pregnant with a boy 26 weeks im sure being military though u get the better bunch of people

ive lived in Jacksonville my entire life except for a couple years when i was really little i lived in philly with my dad..jacksonville has definitely gone down hill and there are some really shitty people here but there are also some really good people here..its hard to find good people anywhere though..as far as hospitals it depends on what area you live in cause you want to go to one close to you but baptist hospital at the beaches is amazing and so is Baptist hospital off st augustine road..but since your military it would be more likely that you would deliver at NAS JAX..they are really great there too! sorry you havent had a posotove experience so far in jax and i hope it gets better for you! i habe a 6 year old son and im currently 9 weeks pregnant.. my bisband is former military and now he is a DOD police officer at naval station mayport..if you need anything or have any questions lmk and if i can help i will..its nice to see a couple lovely ladies in my area!

Yeah my BF just said we'd probably be at the naval hospital in south side, but that sucks, I just got here about a month ago and I was looking forward to making friends around here, my BF also has a 2 year old so I wanted some nice mommy friends but honestly the way you describe this place I'm staying away from people 😂😅 @leesh.b

well what ever u do don't go to shands it's in the middle of the hood so it's not the best staffing I go to memorial hospital on the south side and I think ull probably find st Vincent's a good hospital the only reason I don't like them is because it's a catholic hospital they won't induce u if nesicary and they won't perform any emergency services on the baby if God forbid nessicary so I decided not to go there and stick to memorial and Dr Mcdyre is great u may meet some good ppl on base since u guys are military I wouldn't know about that but the locals are not the nicest ppl I'm from Brooklyn ny and thought we were rough but these ppl are crazy

I'm not sure yet, we just got here so I have to transfer my medical down here, what do you reccomend? Do I get a choice? We're military so idk where we go. I didn't think it'd be so bad but apparently no one like friendly people around here.. @leesh.b

everybody here is either a rapper, thug, stripper, or dramad out. people are rude and friends aren't easy to come by be safe here what hospital are u delivering

I been living here for a couple years on and off its the worst ppl are cruel and the crime is ridiculous be careful making friends here duval county is crazy I'm trying to move back away FAR AWAY
