To everyone what's wrong with America were so screwed up on healthcare and don't even get me started on the fda and the food the government controls its ridiculous. They are killing us. Well not me bc I'm cautious of it. Sorry to complain but it's true. Well as for ins we have blue cross and pay 10% after the 1,700 deductible is met. I just wonder what 10% is of a medical bill is to deliver a baby in Dallas Texas.

I'm in canada so it's a bit different for me. we have free health care so we don't pay when we go to the hospital.

@txyogagirl, I have United Healthcare. The deductible is $5,000 and they pay 80% after I meet the deductible. @foreverjalisa you're lucky! My doctor wants $2k just for delivery charges :(

@babymariosmom, we have blue cross blue shield. it will pay 100% after deductible so I am hoping we meet it before August

@babywest, I am paying for everything. It's just crazy. I'm already 31 weeks. My insurance is from my employer and I didn't get a choice of which insurance I wanted. It really sucks. When I talked to the broker, he told me we had a $2500 HRA, but failed to mention it would be refunded AFTER I pay the $5,000 deductible. Crazy!!!

I thought I had it bad. Mine is 2000 I have to pay it within 4 months

@melissafrattinger, @babywest if you don't mind me asking what insurance do you have and what's your deductible and % they pay after its met. I have no clue what it cost to have a baby this is my first. so last year hubby increased our to 90-10 after deductible is met which it will be bc I'm not due til August.

wow I'm really lucky then here it costs nothing.

ours is 3500!!! I have to pay for ultrasound and outside costs out of pocket
