Okay mommies out there how many of you actually had to wait for sonogram to know the sex of your baby?!?!
I did blood work at 10 weeks and boom next week I knew it was a boy.
are yall not opting for the harmony test?
@their.bomb.ass.mom, girl I would have died waiting for them to tell me his sex cause at 20 weeks they assumed he was a boy but wasn't a 100% based off the sonogram cause not all boys testes drop but I wanted the sonogram lady to guess what he was and she had a hard time telling. but by 27 weeks I did 4d and it took over a hour but got him to spread his legs and show the world..
Definitely I'd ask I never knew until someone told me, it just happen to be the nurse drawing my blood. it comes in a box that's says harmony on it with 2 vials inside and they send it off like any normal blood work but it's 100% accurate as long as passed 10 weeks.
I cried cause I only wanted girl and I asked the Dr maybe baby just didn't develop estrogen yet he said no, we check the blood chomosomes and if xx it's girl if xy means a boy science stuff. so I know from that day forwards buy only boy and yes definitely at 20 weeks baby had big testicles lol
Wow that's insane, I'm on medicaid and they covered it, they asked when doing his abnormalities test if I wanted to know the sex it would just be 2 extra Vials of blood. it was completely covered.
They usually don't offer tests like that straight up unless you're high risk usually, not all the time of course, and even then most insurances won't cover it. I never asked for it, I did a blood test to check for abnormalities but not gender, at least I didn't ask for the gender. I found out at 16 weeks with my first and 15 with my second via private ultrasounds, I definitely wanted to find out earlier than usual anatomy scans, I didn't care for the blood test gender thing anyways, I liked seeing with my own eyes and having that super suspenseful moment when they go in between the legs!
