I did this theory and it was correct for mine! Having a little girl. If you don't wanna wait for a sonogram gender you can ask your midwife to do blood gender. They take blood from the mom, and you find out results in a week! I'm 12 weeks and know :-) they took blood at 10 weeks and I knew at 11 weeks! :-)
